PRESENTATION OUTLINE
what does the land of the free spend?
- spends 83% more money on health care
- 9.5% higher chance of being unemployed
- works 4.17% more hours a year
- Makes 20.88% more money!
There's a higher chance I'd be unemployed, but if I had a job I'd make more money. Makes sense that I'd make more money, my shifts would be longer.
need a doctor? good luck with that.
- 50% more likely to have HIV/AIDS
- Dies 3.05 % sooner
- 23.05% more chance of dying in infancy
- 34.53% more babies
- spends 83% more money on health care
If I lived in America, I'd have to have an In Case of Emergency fund just incase I broke my arm, or needed blood work done. I'd also have a higher chance of contracting and STI, which is even worse when you have to pay a lot of money to find out if you have the disease or not.
Energy!
- Uses 28.38% less energy
- Uses 6.11% less oil
I'd be happy to know that I'd be using less energy, because so far we've only got one planet. This makes me think that Canada could be doing a little bit more to use a little less energy.
On one hand, I'd use less oil and energy, and I'd make more money. On the other hand, I'm more likely to get aids, and if I did get it I'd have to pay for my own hospital bills. There's also a higher chance of me being discriminated due to my gender. Even though there's a higher chance of me being unemployed, if I had a job my hours would be longer, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
I would not make the States my home. I enjoy free healthcare and not being discriminated against as much. I'd also rather have many people have jobs and make little money than few people have jobs and make a lot of money. Sharing is caring, Murca.
