THE IDEA THAT POWER IS SPLIT BETWEEN THE NATIONAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS

Independent judiciary:the idea that the judicial branch makes decisions without influence from the legislative or executive branch
This picture would connect to independent judiciary because the judicial branch is the Supreme Court so this would be when the Supreme Court would carry out the decisions without an influence on them from other branches.

This would connect to the legislative branch because these are the books of laws. The legislative branch are the people that make the laws.

Executive branch: the part of the government that carries out the laws. It is led by the president

Bill of rights: the last part added to the constitution that lists all the rights given to US citizens
This is a picture of of crosswalk law sign. The people are given the “right” the walk first. This would connect because it is talking about the rights US citizens are given
Amendment: a change to the constitution. It needs to be proposed and approved by a majority of US citizens
