With a population of 10 million, and a 59% of poverty; Haiti continues to rebuild itself after the devastating 2010 earthquake.
However it is time for the Haitians to stop relying on help from outsiders, and start betting on their future generations.

Haiti is facing a Linguistic apartheid between Creole and French speakers.
People who only speaks Creole are classified as second-class citizens.
Still, only 10% of the population has access to learn a new language.

Teach Abroad is a volunteering and English teaching-based program which will connect via its online platform volunteer educators from all over the world to come and volunteer in community centers in Cité Soleil and Solino

We will also offer a strong pedagogical curriculum focusing on English and Leadership learning as an empowerment and development tool in these communities.

We focus in three main types of volunteers: Young students or recent graduates, retired teachers, and physically disabled people.

In these three groups we have found the main core of what we aim to promote:

everyone is a valuable individual, capable of giving back to the global community and to become change makers
regardless of age, work status, or physical characteristics.
