TUNDRA

  • The tundra latitude and longitude are 55-75
  • 10 inches to 3 feet are covered in ice
  • Extremely cold and dry
  • Most of the soil in the tundra is frozen all year ,frozen soil is known as permafrost

RAIN FOREST

  • The tropical rain forest gets 50-260 inches of rain per yearl
  • The tempature is 93 degrees fahrenheit and 34 degrees celsius
  • The rain forest is full of treees and other living organisms
  • Huge trees grow in this area

DESERT

  • The desert is a dry dusty biome
  • The temperature is 64 degrees fahrenheit and 18 degrees celsius
  • The desert gets 1 inch of rain per year
  • The latitude and longatude are 15-28
  • Organisms that exist there have to adapt to the climate

GRASSLANDS

  • The grassland is about 5 million square miles half of africa
  • The grasslands get 20-50 inches of rain
  • The tempature of the grassland is 100 degrees farinhite and 40 defrees celceus

AQUATIC

  • It is made up of two groups of water sources: fresh water and marine
  • Fresh water consists of lakes ponds rivers streams and wetlands
  • Marine consists of oceans coral reefs and estuaries

BOREAL FOREST

  • Winters are very cold
  • The snow can reach heights over your head
  • Tree species are well adapted to cold climate
  • These animals include red squirrels, insects, and birds such as finches and chickadees

DECIDOUS FOREST

  • Most of the trees have leaves that change colors and drop leaves each autumn
  • The rain that is recieved supports growth and other plants
  • The growing season last five to six months
  • Temperatures vary greatly during the year

FOREST

  • The forest is some time known as the taiga (russian name)
  • Its the largest land biome
  • During the summer the wer soil is good for lichens and mosses
  • Fir and spruce rrees grow in this area
