  • To refuse to buy one or more goods from a certain source.
  • An organized refusal by many people is called a boy cot.
  • When the revolutionary war started there was a boycott about having the war.

MILITIA

  • A small army made up of ordinary citizens who were trained to fight in an emergency.
  • The government might need to have a militia just in case something bad happens.

REPEAL

  • To take back or cancel a law
  • The government repealed the law of no calling on the phone while driving.

  • The unjust use of government power. A ruler who uses power in this way is called a tyrant.
