PRESENTATION OUTLINE

UNITY

THROUGH PROXIMITY
The figures seem to touch so that unity is created by their close proximity. It makes the viewer's eye flow from one figure to the next.

UNITY

THROUGH REPETITION
The geometric shapes, shaded to look three dimensional but ambiguous and the warm yellow colors with contrasting tones are repeated throughout the painting. This repetition creates a sense of unity.

UNITY

THROUGH CONTINUATION
The edge of the box on the left seems to connect to the tree. The horizon line disappears behind the hanging clock to connect to the land form on the upper right. The clock face seems to hang out in space and only looks like it belongs because of the style and the clock.
