WHAT IN THE WORLD IS A UNIT RATE?

• A unit rate is a way to know how much a specific weight of something costs. For example, if bread that costs $3.29 weighs 20 oz., then each ounce of bread costs $0.16.
• To find a unit rate, divide the cost of the item by it's weight!
