THE MEDIA GENERATION

  • There was a huge growth of technology in the 80's and 90'S
  • in the 1900's computers became more of a factor in technology.
  • The invention of the microchip allowed computers to be smaller,faster and less expensive.
  • In the 1900's came the internet it allowed it to have the printing press,telephone,radio,tv,and the post office.
  • The other major invention that was created was the portable cellphone it made it easier to contact people.
By the 1970's Americans owned televisions the largest networks were CBS,NBC, and ABC.In 1996 Walt Disney bought ABC.During the 1980's people used computers often they didn't just have them in offices but in their homes as well,companies that made hardware and software made it the largest in the world by the 1990's.There was many incredible inventions that were made that we use in today's social media habits such as music,video games,and movies going into digital.

INFORMATION REVOLUTION

  • The invention of the microprocessor led to the modern computer
  • just in-time delivery was a large company with many stores that can bring in the exact number of items to the locations they need them at.
  • wikepedia was a resource people use to gather information but it isnt always trusted because they dont keep up to date on their information or it can have false information.
  • copyright was a form of legal protection.It is un-legal to steal someone else's work.He or she that tells you it's okay is not a copyrighting.
shopping has been different since the last decades. now in days we can buy anything we need or want.

ENERGY ISSUES

  • In the 1960's underground oil reserves were easily found some of the pockets underground were drying up.
  • OPEC were the world's biggest producers of oil ,they can decide if they want the prices of oil to go up or if they want to drop the prices.
  • By 2008 there was 104 U.S. nucleur power plants,providing 20 percent of the country's energy needs.
  • Since 1952 there have been as least 56 significant decidents at nucleur power plants in the U.S

INTERNATIONAL TRADE

  • Just 40 years ago ,China had no official ties to the U.S.let alone a trade partnership.
  • There was two major events in 2001 changing the relationship between in the U.S.and China.
  • China joined the world trade organization (WTO)agreeing to help ensure open trade among member nations.
  • "Free Trade"made goods to be easily moved between nations.
