A growing of art and culture that started in Italy and spread to the rest of Europe in the 1300's.


The art that was made in the renaissance is still seen today.

Westernization

When ideas from Europe spread to other places.

The culture of Europe spread across the world.

The monarch or other ruler has unlimited power.

Hitler had absolutism over Germany.

Divine Right

A rulers power comes from God and cannot be questioned.

King Louis was a divine ruler in France from 1643-1715.

Rapid growth of trade commerce in Europe.

Europe started to trade overseas and colonizing the Americas.

An economy where resources were all privately owned and distributed.

The United States is a capitalist economy.

A non-religious group concerned with the world.

There are groups in the U.S. that are secular.

People from Spain who conquered America.

Conquistadors were some of the first to the Americas.

I think that ideas changed their world the most. People started to learn more things and became more modern. They learned about reason and observation so they could look at the world different.
