In the late 1300s the Black Death (plague) has ended.Then Europeans started to focus and become reborn

AFTER THE PLAGUE

EUROPEANS WERE FOCUSING ON ART, LITERATURE AND LEARNING.

POSITIVES OF THE PLAGUE

  • Workers got higher wage.
  • Europe’s economy grew again.
  • More food supply become available helping boost economy

THE PLAGUE HAD MORE POSITIVES

  • One positive result was the reopening of the Silk Road,

When the Roman Empire and the Han dynasty fell, soldiers no longer protected travelers result the Silk Road closed.

Then in the 1200s the mongols took over China resulting in the Silk Road becoming safer.

MARCO POLO!

HE WAS AN TRADER/MERCHANT FROM VENICE.

The family the polos traveled from Europe to China! Finding paper money, coal used for fuel.

Marco Polo also met with the mongol empire Kublai Khan, the polos stayed a good 20 years before moving back to Venice.

By the late 1300s four northern Italian cities became trading centers Florence, Genoa, Milan, Venice.

Florence specifically stands out as an great trade and wealth coming into Italy because of wool, trade but banking trade increased keeping it for merchants.

And we all know Leonardo da Vinci as well as being an astonishing painter he also did sculptures architecture inventors engineer and technology he did paintings of nature and animals

1. a) identity who was Marco Polo? He was influential by showcasing his inventions and ideas in his travel book that’s how many people wanted to see all the inventions and ideas.

1. b) Analyze why were the four major cities of Italy important economically? Because all 4 cities worked as a system for 1 product like Venice was used for selling raw material

2 b) Which artist would you rather have metinreallife—MichelangeloorLeonardoda Vinci? Whatis the reason for your choice? Leonardo da Vinci because his art is has more emotion and human emotions.

Visualizing visuals.. what can you see in this illustration that shows the wealth of Florence? I see very detailed architectural designs especially with the tall buildings with art sculptures engraved in the buildings itself.

Reading check summarizing how did trade lead to renaissance in Italy? One reason was that trade brought new ideas and goods to Europe and soon society was using coins as money.
