PHYLLIS SHAFLY

• a retired American constitutional lawyer, conservative activist, author, and speaker and founder of the Eagle Forum.
• During her career, she has managed Republican campaigns, served as a Delegate to the Republican National Convention, and served as various chairs for the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is also the author of 20 books on subjects such as the family and feminism, education and phonics. She has also published The Phyllis Schlafly Report, a monthly newsletter and is heard daily on the “Eagle Forum Live,” her radio talk show focused on education.

CONTRACT WITH AMERICA

• was a document released by the United States Republican Party during the 1994 Congressional election campaign.
• the Contract detailed the actions the Republicans promised to take if they became the majority party in the United States House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. Many of the Contract's policy ideas originated at The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.

HERRITAGE FOUNDATION

• The foundation took a leading role in the conservative movement during the presidency of Ronald Reagan, whose policies were taken from Heritage's policy study Mandate for Leadership
• The Heritage Foundation is a research and educational institution—a think tank—whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.

MORAL MAJORITY

• was a prominent American political organization associated with the Christian right and Republican Party. It was founded in 1979 by Baptist minister Jerry Falwell and associates, and dissolved in the late 1980s.
• Televised sermons preached by Venerable Fulton John Sheen.
• Fulton John Sheen was an American bishop of the Catholic Church known for his preaching and especially his work on television and radio. His cause for canonization as a saint was officially opened in 2002.

• The aids epidemic became recognized in the early 1980's and has sense then killed over 39 million people (according to 2013)
• In the 1980's the cases for aids increased extremely fast especially in the cases for homosexual men.

GLOBAL WARMING 1980'S

• As the 1980s began, the question of global warming had become prominent enough to be included for the first time in some public opinion polls.
• Global warming in the 80's was on a rise and almost everyone was panicking about the epidemic.
• Global warming was shown everywhere socially possible.
