Welcome to UN!

Long process, but we're here to help

Nation Now

Essentially what you're doing with Nation Now is building a picture of your country out of numbers

Like this binary code, it might not look like anything at first, but once your data is complete, you'll be able to make inferences (ie, an educated guess) about the state of particular aspects about your country.

Be careful with numbers--it's worth noting when a particular statistic comes from. If you and your partner have conflicting numbers, choose the more recent statistic

UN Livebinder

Your new best friend
We'll add in some judicious Googling later--for now, don't touch it.

We've put together a LiveBinder for you with everything you need--it can be accessed 24/7 and contains links to a wealth of information about your countries

Today's Goal

  • Find your partner
  • Access one or more of the databases (we suggest World Geography Online) too look up a statistic or two for your country
  • Compare numbers - which would you use and why?
