ULTRAVIOLET TELESCOPES

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Ultraviolet waves are in between visible light and X-Rays.
  • Wave lengths of these are around 400 nanometres.
  • Ozone layer blocks them from getting to earth.

USES IN LIFE

  • Main uses are only for scientific purposes
  • Sun tanning is also a use.

OBJECTS

  • Ultraviolet telescopes help us learn about galaxy evolution
  • We also can see the birth of stars and learn more in UV light
  • We can see a lot of the different temperatures in space as well

DESIGN

  • Some of the UV telescopes are,
  • The Hubble Space Telescope
  • IUE - International Ultraviolet Explorer
