A ULTRASOUND : IS THE SOUND WAVES THAT TRAVEL INTO YOUR BODY AND HIT A BOUNDARY BETWEEN TISSUE.

- the machine reflected waves that are picked up by the probe and relayed to the machine.
- the machine then calculates the distance from the probe to the tissue or organ using the speed of sound in the tissue and the time of each echo's return.
- the machine displays the distances and intensities of the echoes on screen, forming a dimensional image .
