UGANDA

Uganda is located in the eastern region of Africa. It’s surrounding countries are, Sudan, The Dem. Rep. Of The Congo, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania.

There are many interesting things about Uganda. From the culture, to the ways of life, to the food, Uganda strikes me as such an interesting place.

Three of the most interesting things about Uganda are; traditions, food, and clothing

CLOTHING

• Men’s clothing
• Woman’s clothing is very different from what men wear
• Grass skirts are worn only for the traditional dances
• There are three fabrics that are most commonly used

FOOD

• Breakfast is relatively early, between 7:30 and 11am
• Lunch is late in the day, between 1 and 4pm
• Dinner is very late, between 8 and 11pm
• They eat a wide variety of food other than what is commonly eaten

TRADITIONS

• They have village dances
• Traditionally they have extended families
• Boys and girls are raised for specific purposes
• Birth and marriage traditions are tied into one
