TWELFTH NIGHT

Viola is a young woman as this play is taking place. Viola has a twin brother named Sebastian. Viola and Sebastian are on a boat when a huge storm comes off the horizon and causes a ship-wreck, thus making them separate from each other both thinking that the other one is dead. Viola comes to the town of Illyria looking for work in a Lady Olivia's house. Though she can't find work she dresses as man to work in Duke Orsino's house and calls herself Cesario. Viola becomes fast in love with Duke as Cesario.

Duke Orsino is a noble man who has fallen in love with Lady Olivia. Lady Olivia refuses to take part in any relationship because of the recent death of her dear brother. Duke sends Viola/Cesario as a messenger after hiring him/her. He send him/her to convince Lady Olivia to marry him. Although....

When Cesario shows up to convince Lady Olivia to marry duke, the plan backfires, because Lady Olivia falls in love with Viola dressed as Cesario instead. Viola is feeling quite uncomfortable because Viola is quote in love with Duke and is jealous of Olivia for having Duke's love. Although Olivia doesn't want Duke's love she wants Cesario.

While all of this is happening in Lady Olivia's house there is even more going on. Well, first let me introduce you to these characters. First there is Olivia's alcohol consuming, partying uncle Toby, Then there is Sir Toby's friend, Sir Andrew Aguecheek, who is all but nothing funny and is hopelessly in love with Lady Olivia and tries to wed her. There is a also Lady Olivia's sneaky, pretty, best friend/ First hand made. and at last there is Malvolio who keeps trying to win Olivia over and between you and me I would say he's obsessed with her.

For Playful fun Maria writes a letter to Malvolio saying the way to win Olivia over is to dress in yellow tights and ribbons around the tights. The only thing is that Malvolia can't say anything to anyone about it he can't even mention it to Lady Olivia. Of course when Maria writes this she signs Olivia's name so Malvolio thinks Olivia wrote it. So when Malvolio finds this letter he think i is real so he dresses up in the tights and ribbons ands doesn't tell anyone, and Olivia think he is psychotic.

While all of this is going on Sebastian, who is still breathing arrives in Ilaria, although he still believes that Viola is dead. He arrives with his best friend Antonio, who has looked after Sebastian since the shipwreck. Antonio is attached to Sebastian maybe sexually.
He is so attached that he agrees to come with Sebastian to Duke's house ignoring the fact that Duke and him have a bad history.

Sir Andrew Aguecheek notices that Olivia has fallen in love with Cesario and challenges Cesario to a duel. Sir Toby who finds out about the duel urges it to go on, of course thinking that it's funny in his drunken state. When Aguecheek is waiting for Cesario he finds Sebastion. Instead he challenges Sebastion to the duel think that it is indeed Cesario. Olivia asks Sebastion to marry her thinking that it was Cesario. Sebastion his surprised by this question for he does not know Olivia but does know she is wealthy and beautiful so to this he agrees. Meanwhile Duke and Antonio gets into a fight and Duke gets Antonio arrested. Antonio says that Cesaro Knows him thinking that it was Sebation but Cesario disagrees and says he doesn't know him. Antonio is refusing and is outraged that "Sebastion" betrayed him. Hearing this Cesario has hope that her brother is still alive.

Duke is furious that Cesario married Olivia. But Cesario deny's it because it wasn't him who married Olivia. For it was Sebastion. But when Cesario and Sebastion comes face to face it's like they are looking in a mirror. Viola is ecstatic that her brother is alive so now she has to come out that she's a girl. So when she comes out Duke understands that it wasn't her fault. So now with Olivia and Sebation married, Duke asks Viola to be his wife. Now that everything is unravels in Illyria there is no more confusion.
