Purpose; to entertain

(Actually written to help pay for Morrie's medical bills)
Mitch's purpose was to entertain because it was a story about Mitch being with Morrie (his old college professor) for the last moments of Morrie's life. He started spending time with Morrie when he found out Morrie was dying from ALS. They met every Tuesday. When Mitch realized "coach" was dying they started meeting every Tuesday; because they're "Tuesday People." When Mitch was in college he'd meet with Morrie mostly on Tuesdays.

Organization

Time Order
This book was obviously in time order because all events were listed/ talked about in order.

Summary

This is a story about Mitch spending time with Morrie in his last moments of life. (Morrie was just diagnosed with ALS). Anyways, they met every Tuesday as they did when he was in college. Mitch wanted to savor his last moments with his wise professor by recording their time together. This book was written in the long-run not just for people to enjoy his professor as much as he did, but also to help pay for Morrie's expensive medical bills.

questions and connections

  • Why didn't they keep in touch before?
  • I can relate to Mitch having a close teacher
  • I wonder why Morrie didn't try to keep in touch with Mitch?
  • I can relate to this story because I meet with my team on certain days
  • Why was there a protest at Mitch's old workplace? I was very confused
