TSUNAMI'S 😢

FACT 1

• Elephants that worked in movies, helped clean up after a killer tsunami in Thialand.

FACT 2

• Some people think it's tornadoes that cause tsunamis, but really earthquakes cause tsunamis by shaking the ground making energy waves. It's not that big in the middle of the ocean, but it's big once it gets to shore.

FACT 3

• An earthquake from the middle of the Pacific Ocean, not only caused a tsunami, but it also caused a volcanic eruption in the Andaman Islands.

FACT 4

• In Sri Lanka, a two year old baby got swept away from his parents. The baby's name is Abhilasha Jeyarijah. Abhilashas parents found him in a hospital. The hospital named him baby 81 because he was the 81st person they've seen since the tsunami. Baby 81's parents had a hard time trying to get there baby back. All of their records have been swept away.

FACT 5

• Ever since 2005, tsunami evacuation signs have been put all over southern Thailand.
