TREE KANGAROO

WHAT THEY EAT

  • mostly leaves and fruit, they also eat grains, flowers, sap, eggs, young birds, and even bark

SIZE

  • The average size can be from 16 to 30 inches long
  • The tail can be another 15 to 34 inches
  • They often weigh around 30 pounds

DESCRIPTION

  • The body can be several shades of brown
  • They have a long snout and short ears
  • They can leap up to 30ft tree to tree
  • They can jump up to 59 ft to the ground without an injury

HABITAT

  • The trees in the rainforest
  • They can be on the ground but in takes a lot of energy for them
  • They are clumsy on land which makes them vulnerable to predators

LOCATED AT

  • The tree kangaroo inhabit the lowland rain forests of ,Papua New Guinea, Umboi, New Britain, West Papua, north-east Queensland, and some parts of Indonesia
