  • Rugged mountains, long ranges
  • Volcanoes can be seen while it flows down
  • The summers-- cool, humid, and hot
  • Winters-- long, cold, and mild
  • The rain is about 80in each year with typhoons and there is short growing season

PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY:JAPAN

  • Japan is an island country
  • Its made up of four large island
  • The islands are1,500 miles long
  • Mountains are covered everywhere (75%)
  • There is 3,000 smaller islands in japan

PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY:SINGAPORE

  • The climate is tropical
  • It lies on on a major shipping route
  • The country has made itself rich from the natural resources
  • The country is located on the tip of Malay peninsula
  • Singapore is the worlds busiest free ports

  • Doesnt have lots of farm land to plant the crops they need
  • It was named "land of the elephants" but they dont have any elephants
  • Dont have any railroads, limited electricity, and undeveloped roads
  • Its named the poorest country but teaches you how much you dont need technology

HUMAN GEOGRAPH:SOUTH KOREA

  • People have apartments but is very expensive
  • The place is very populated (40,000 people)
  • A democratic country with strong economy
  • The north and south are coming together by reunification and going to be one country
  • The United States helped create South Korea's government after world war two

  • A tradition in japan is kimonos
  • People speak Korean and use Korean alphabet
  • Named to Worlds strongest economies
  • 3 methods of companies:reason for sucess, trade, and resources
  • Kimchi is a taditional dish created in 1100s

  • Free port, taxes on goods
  • Crime rates are very low
  • Modern, wealthy, orderly and clean
  • Industrial Center:many foreign bunks and high tech firms have offices there
  • The government has worked hard to clean up slums and improve housing

  • The communist government has been increasing economic freedom
  • Total Distance of all Land Boundaries:5,083 km
  • 80% of Laotian's work is agriculture
  • The Laotian New Year is April 13-15
