  • Livestock manure releases methane, which heats the atmosphere 80 times faster than carbon dioxide
  • Livestock production responsible for 50% of carbon emissions from the agriculture, forestry, and land-use sectors

  • That comes out to 1.3 billion tons of lost food
  • Food waste alone accounts for 3.3 gigatonnes of carbon emmisions
