Tara got suspended for the last two weeks of school and is sent to spend the summer with her Aunt and Uncle in Willow Falls.

Tara met a lady who gave her a list of 13 gifts she needed to find around town. In return, the lady would give Tara $200.

1st gift: A cane with a duck as the handle.
Tara found the cane in the diner in town. The owner of the diner told Tara someone had left the cane here 30 years ago and had never come back for it.

2nd gift: A violin with "Sam 1989" carved into the back .
They posted a list of all the gifts they were looking for at the community center and a man saw the list and recognized the item.

3rd gift: A blanket with a 2in red stripe around the outside. The man who gave her the violin was given the blanket a few years back and gave her the blanket with the violin.

4th gift: I A white basket with the handles in the shape of hearts.
Tara's new friend's neighbor had the basket in her house.

5th gift: A wooden key with "Made in Willow Falls" carved in the corner.
Someone in town remembered seeing the key in someone's house while they were giving piano lessons.

6th gift: A brass candle stick shaped like a fish.
They were inside a store and someone was trying to sell it so she bought it from her.

7th gift: A knife with a black handle inside a red sheath.
Tara's uncle's friend he plays poker with mentioned the knife during one of their poker games.

8th gift: A wine bottle made from Ellerby- Fritzpatrick Brewers.
Tara's friend's grandparents ran the company.

9th gift: A long strand of pearls with a gold clasp.
The woman with the key found the pearls on her kitchen table as Tara was leaving her house and gave them to her.

10th gift: A two ounce purple glass bottle with a silver stopper.
A woman had written to Tara about the bottle.

11th gift: Bible with the book of Genesis repeated twice.
A minister had found the mistake in the Bible and kept it. He then saw someone was looking for it and e-mailed Tara.

12th gift: A black steamer trunk with a gold latch.
Tara's friend was looking for something in her attic and found the trunk.

When Tara's friend found the trunk she also found the shawl hanging up on the wall.
