  • Apr 3 1919 women's bank opens in Clarksville, Tennessee with an all female staff
  • Aug 23 1919 National Federation of Business & Professional Women's dub is founded
  • Aug 25 1920 19th amendment added, women got the right to vote
  • 1923 Supreme Court set minimum wages

Events in 1930s

  • 1926 Gertrude Ederle becomes the first woman to swim across the English Canal
  • 1931 Maxine Dunlap becomes the first American woman to earn a glider pilot license
  • 1932 Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean alone
  • 1932 Hatte Wyatt Caraway of Arkansas became the first woman elected for U.S senate
  • 1933 First government funded daycare centers and nurseries

Conclusion
There were more changes because women were able to vote. They had more things to do like work and house work, where they learned to juggle both jobs. Women had more independence and were able to go to college where they could study to be nurses, cosmetologists, etc. They had more if an equal partnership with men.
