  • A plants response to gravity
  • Positive - growing towards gravity
  • Negative - growing away from gravity

  • Plants movement in response to chemicals
  • Example: a plant growing with fertilizer

  • A plant's movement in response to light. A.K.A. The plant grows towards the light.

THERMOTROPISM

  • A plants movement in response to temperature change.

  • We usually see this on river banks where erosion has removed parts of it

THIGMOTROPISM

  • A plants movement in response to touch
  • Vines growing - positive
  • Touch-me-nots - negative
