• It is a lot cheaper than fossil fuels factories because they have to transport the fossil fuels.it helps the economy by making more jobs.
• Since it is a renewable energy source it doesn't cause pollution.
• It decreases reliance on fossil fuels and increase the use of geothermal energy.
• It can be used to heat hoes and offices.

DISADVANTAGES OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY

• When they drill a hole to get heat from the Earth the hole may contain dangerous gases so they have to contain it.
• They have to build a power plant to get steam from the Earth which a one time huge investment which is a lot of money.
• They have to build the power plant in a place where there is a lot of hot rocks to last long time to produce steam.
• The energy the geothermal plant makes can't be transported from far away only in the surrounding areas.
