MLK JR WAS FIGHTING FOR...
The blacks who didn't have equal rights.
Freedom of the blacks.
He was fighting for his family and friends.

Martin was a public speaker.
Martin accomplished his ''Dream.''
His dream was everyone would be at peace and blacks
would have rights.

He thought he could make a change because
when he was little he had white friends and
their mother told them they could not be friends
with Martin.
After that day Martin wanted to make a change.

The country changed when Martin said his
famous ''I Have a Dream'' speech in Washington D.C.
August 28, 1963.
5 years later he died.

Martin was arrested 30 times because
of civil right activites.
He had struggled for a long time
when he was giving speeches.

His life was hard because he couldn't
go to the same school with his friends.
It was sad too, because Martin had no friends
to play with.

TRAGEDY
In 1968, Martin was shot by James Earl Ray. Martin died.

There is a statue of MLK in Washington D.C.
