MLK JR WAS FIGHTING FOR...

  • The blacks who didn't have equal rights.
  • Freedom of the blacks.
  • He was fighting for his family and friends.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR

  • Martin was a public speaker.
  • Martin accomplished his ''Dream.''
  • His dream was everyone would be at peace and blacks
  • would have rights.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR

  • He thought he could make a change because
  • when he was little he had white friends and
  • their mother told them they could not be friends
  • with Martin.
  • After that day Martin wanted to make a change.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR

  • The country changed when Martin said his
  • famous ''I Have a Dream'' speech in Washington D.C.
  • August 28, 1963.
  • 5 years later he died.

MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr

  • Martin was arrested 30 times because
  • of civil right activites.
  • He had struggled for a long time
  • when he was giving speeches.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR

  • His life was hard because he couldn't
  • go to the same school with his friends.
  • It was sad too, because Martin had no friends
  • to play with.

TRAGEDY

In 1968, Martin was shot by James Earl Ray. Martin died.
