PRESENTATION OUTLINE

NEWTONS LAWS OF MOTION PROJECT

CYRIL ABRAHAM

Newtons 1st Law

  • An object in motion stay in motion and a object at rest stays at rest.
  • I chose this picture due to the fact that it stays at rest. If a force were to be applied
  • The ball would move either upward or forward. This picture relates to newtons first law.
  • Even if the ball were to be kicked friction would soon stop it (newtons 3rd law).
  • The ball will only move if the net force does not equal zero.

Newtons 1st law

  • I chose this picture since it dur to the fact there is friction on the ground.
  • Since the chaor is on the road, if anything were to push it, it would soon stop.
  • This picture relates to newton's law, since friction will stop the chair if moved, and if the object is at rest it stays.
  • Since there is no force acting upon it, the chair will stay at rest.

NEWTONS 2ND LAW

  • F=Ma (Force= mass times acceleration)
  • This picture shows a football being thrown. I chose this picture since it relates to newtons law.
  • This football has a certain amount of mass. So if this ball is being thrown to someone there will be
  • a certain amount of force that would hit them. To fiind it, you have to find the acceleration of the ball
  • and then multiply it by the mass of the ball. The You will find the amount of force the ball has when being thrown.

NEWTONS 2ND LAW

  • This picture is relevant to Newton's second law. Reason being it demonstrates
  • force since a plane is dropping a bomb. If a bomb is dropped there is a certain amount of force excpelled
  • when the bomb hits the ground. The bomb has a certain amount of mass , and when the bomb is falling it
  • The acceleration is increased. The longer the bomb falls the more amount of force it will exert.

NEWTONS 3RD LAW

  • For every action there is a equal and opposite reaction.
  • This picture shows newtons 3rd law. Since when the plane is flying the engines are working
  • Causing the plane to move forward. Although due to newtons third law, for every action there is a reaction.
  • So when the engines are working there are elevators on the plane that take in air and pushes it out. So if the
  • plane goes faster, the elevators take in more air causing the plane to increase in altitude.

NEWTONS 3RD LAW

  • This picture shows a man in armor ready to fire a shotgun.
  • He knows that firing a shotgun is a demonstration of newtons third law.
  • So when you fire a shotgun you are shooting a bullet at high speed.
  • On the other hand, due to the force of the bullet being fired it pushes you back.
  • So when firing the bullet you are being pushed back, it is a life demonstration of newtons law.
