TIME MANAGEMENT

FIRST FILMING DAY

  • We decided to film at the primary location; my house first.
  • As my house is very close to our school, we decided to go after class.
  • As the location was unfamiliar to the camerawoman (Asra), it took a little while working out the placement of the camera that would execute the type of shot.
  • Also, as my little brother was around, we had to stop and re-film shots due to him making noise, which wasted time. In hindsight, the location should've been empty to prevent this from happening.
  • Courtney left early, so Asra filmed the shots that were to be added at the end of the horror opening.

Second FILMING day

  • This was done at Uxbridge Tube Station, the tube itself and Ickenham Tube Station.
  • When we planned to film this part of the opening, we thought that it would take several hours at least on the tube so we met up on a Saturday at Uxbridge Tube Station.
  • However, the filming took a little less than an hour on the tube.

REDO FILIMING

  • When Courtney edited the rough cut of the horror opening, she noticed some mistakes that we had made. She came over my house during the weekend to correct these shots.
  • For example, I open the door with my left hand and in the following shot, I have the doll in my left hand.

  • Moreover, the final shot of the opening; the slow zoom in on the dolls face, was a little off-center, so Courtney re-filmed that and some extra filler shots of me walking towards my house, and through the front door to give some context. Without these filler shots, the audience would be left confused by me jumping from one location to another.
