1733- Molasses Act
You have to pay 6 pence per gallon. The British thought that they would be able to collect those taxes from the colonist.

1756- Stamp Act
There had to be stamps on newspapers, letters, and commercial documents so they knew to tax those items.

1764- Sugar Act
There was tax put on sugar that was being imported to the colonies.

1765- Quartering Act
The colonist had to house British soldiers if they needed somewhere to stay.

1773- Tea Act
The British started taxing the tea so the colonies would have to pay even more money to buy tea.

1773- Boston Tea Party
The colonist in Massachusetts pushed all of the tea overboard to rebel against tea taxes.

1774- Intolerable Act
They thought that it was punishment for the Massachusetts Colonist after the Boston tea party.
