INTRODUCTION

  • Biologist use this chamber to identify different pieces of DNA.
  • A macromolecule is a molecule that contains a large amount of atoms.
  • The smaller the macromolecule the faster its speed.
  • The bigger the macromolecule the slower it moves.
  • This chamber determines the size and charge of the macromolecule.

NOW THE MAGIC BEGINS....

CAN U SEE THE BUBBLES !?

NO.... TOO BAD! IT'S THERE THOUGH.

45 MINUTES LATER...

RESULTS!

  • Macromolecules have began to split into pieces
  • Each food dye had a different speed because of its size.
  • The green food dye had the greatest distance.
  • There was 4 trials and the green dye won all of them!
  • Bubbles appeared in so the chamber worked!

THAT IS HOW YOU DISTINGUISH DNA!
