RETURN TO ATHENS

  • Medea convinced Aegeus that Theseus was an encroaching enemy.
  • Theseus proved to be otherwise, as his father accepted him.
  • His stay is not long, as the King of Crete comes demanding sacrifices.

THE LABYRINTH

  • Along with 14 other men, Theseus travels to Crete.
  • Theseus enlists the idea of the inventor Daedalus, who gives him yarn.
  • Theseus ties the yarn to the beginning of the labyrinth and ventures in.
  • After killing the minotaur with his bare hands, Theseus exits the labyrinth.
  • Theseus sails back home but forgets to fly the white flag, which causes his father to kill himself.
