VIRTUE

  • A VIRTUE IS AN ATTITUDE OR WAY THAT ENABLES US TO DO GOOD.

  • A Theological Virtue is virtues given to us by God and not by human efforts. They are faith, hope, and charity.

  • Faith- is a gift from God that helps us believe in him
  • Hope- a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen
  • Charity- the voluntary giving of help to those in need

CARDINAL

  • Cardinal Virtues are human virtues acquired by education and good actions. They are prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance.

  • Justice- the process or result of using laws to fairly judge or punish
  • Fortitude- courage in pain or adversity
  • Temperance- is moderation or voluntary self-restraint
  • Prudence- careful good judgement that allows someone to avoid danger
