Reasons Teenagers Use Drugs

When teens have the opportunity some might use drugs even though they know that it is bad for them. So why do teens use drugs?

Many teens use drugs to cure their depression. But instead of drugs there are many other methods they can use such as finding a fun hobby that makes them happy or even just being around people that they enjoy talking to which is much better for you health than using drugs.

  • Some teens try out drugs and continue using them because of their friends
  • If a friend ever tries to peer pressure you can use a refusal skill to help you say no them

  • Some teens also use drugs because their friends do so and they want to look "cool"
  • Using drugs doesn't mean you are "cool" instead not using them means that you just care about your body more.

There are also teens who just want to experiment and try something new out in their lives.
But what is the point of Possibly getting addicted just to know what something feels like if you know it is dangerous for yourself and others around you.

  • Then some teens try drugs because they want to feel grown up.
  • Why do you want to prove to youself that you are a grown up by doing drugs when instead you can prove it by doing things such as your homework on time and just doing things without having to be told to do it kind of what adults do.
