I am researching a parasite called the Trichinella Spiralis.
It is in the animal kingdom and in the species Trichinella.
It lives anywhere where there is carnivores and omnivores.
It lives on all continents except Antarctica.
It eats raw or undercooked meat.
It will live for about six weeks.
INTERESTING FACTS!!!
- The Trichinella Spiralis can cause a disease called Trichinellosis which could kill you if you consume any undercooked or raw meat.
- It is the smallest known nematode parasite with a length of 1.4-1.6 mm.
- It is called Trichinella Spiralis because the trichin means hair in Greek,the Ella which means small and spiralis which means spiral.
