AND ADOLPH HITLER'S ROLE

WHO WAS HITLER?

  • He was a German politician and the leader of the Nazi Party
  • He was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945
  • Was the dictator of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945.
  • Was the center and focus of the Holocaust
  • Committed suicide because he was cornered by others

WHAT WAS IT?

  • One of the common names for Nazi Germany
  • Hitler killed a majority of Jews
  • Changed Jews way of life in no time
  • Hitler only aloud people that had blue eyes and blond hair
  • He did not accept gays either and put them in jail

PEOPLE INVOLVED

  • 6 million Jews died
  • Hitler shot himself in April of 1945
  • Soldiers from other countries discovered the camps
  • Others countries knew a little about the camps
  • No one wanted to get involved or take the risk

CONCENTRATION CAMPS

  • A place where Jews were kept
  • Many were killed in these camps by gas showers, etc.
  • There were about 10 of these camps spread out
  • Soldiers saved a small amount of Jews before death
  • Some people tried to escape before passports were taken

ENDING HITLER

  • The Allies defeated Nazi Germany they surrendered on May 8, 1945.
  • Hitler soon after shot himself because of this
  • The holocaust was now over with millions of Jewish deaths in its path
