BY: ANGIE ACEVES

DEATH

  • One of them ran, soaked a sponge with wine,
  • put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink,
  • saying, "Wait, let us see if Elijah comes to
  • take him down.” Jesus gave a loud cry and
  • breathed his last.(Mark 15: 35-37)

BEING A VICTIM OF BULLYING

  • And the soldiers wove a crown out of thorns and
  • placed it on his head, and clothed him in a purple cloak,
  • and they came to him and said, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
  • And they struck him repeatedly. (John 19: 2-3)

LOOSING A LOVED ONE

  • And Jesus wept. So the Jews said,
  • “See how he loved him.” And when he had said this,
  • he cried out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
  • The dead man came out, tied hand and foot.
  • (John 11: 35-36, 43-44)

ILLNESS

  • As he passed by he saw a man blind from birth.
  • he spat on the ground and made clay with the
  • saliva, and smeared the clay on his eyes, and said to him,
  • “Go wash in the Pool of Siloam.” So he went and
  • washed, and came back able to see. (John 9: 1, 6-7)

BEING BETRAYED BY PEOPLE WE LOVE

  • Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went off
  • to the chief priests to hand him over to them.
  • When they heard him they were pleased and
  • promised to pay him money. Then he looked
  • for an opportunity to hand him over. (Mark 14: 10-11)

DEPRESSION/STRESS

  • “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me;
  • still, not my will but yours be done."And to strengthen him
  • an angel from Heaven appeared to him. He was in such
  • agony and he prayed so fervently that his sweat became
  • like drops of blood falling on the ground.(Luke 22:42-44)
