- U.S. Felt challenged when Sputnik was launched
- Many feared that the Soviet Union was emerging as the World Power
- After Sputnik, The USA called for the Space Race to happen

- Government put in more money
- More interest in Space Travel
- More Interest in Space Exploring

My opinion is that instead of having the Space Race the U.S.A and U.S.S.R could have worked together to get to space.
