PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Every night, the smallest Bilby in the Bilby patch watched the stars from a mountain top.
He loved all the stars but he loved the smallest star most. The little Bilby tried to hug the star but she was so far away.
"Sometimes I am scared that the star will go away."said the small Bilby.
"I love you most." and the stars shone down on him.
Than a thick cloud coved the star.
"What if she doesn't come back?" asked the little Bilby.
"Don't worry, she loves you so she will always come back." replied the oldest Bilby
The star hurried out from behind the cloud and shone down on him. It brushed his face with silver light.
The little Bilby could not imagine the night sky without his little star so he dicided to give her a kiss.
"Was that a kiss?" Asked one of the other smaller bilbies.
"No, not yet but it will soon be." He stood on a rock and reached out but he still couldn't reach.
The little Bilby then went to get more rocks.
"What are you doing?" Asked the oldest Bilby.
The little ones said
" We know, he's building a kiss!!"
" You can't build a kiss." Replied the oldest Bilby.
" He can, he can" sang the little ones "and so can we."
One by one, two by two, three by three, the little bilbies helped him make the kiss at the top of the hill.
Little by little the kiss grew higher and bigger.
"Are we there yet?" asked the little ones, " Are we there yet?"
"Almost" replied the smallest Bilby.
"That's not a kiss!" Said the oldest Bilby.
" No, but this is a kiss." And he climbed up and spread his arms and kissed the star.
All the bilbies caught their breath. Not even a whisker twitched. The star grew bigger and brighter until the desert glowed with the morning light.
The star shone on the pools until they flashed like glass beads.
The star danced above the little bilbies and tickled their tummies with star shine.
She then shone her deepest, clearest, brightest light onto the smallest Bilby.
"She won't forget you now." said the oldest Bilby.
"And I will remember her forever and ever." said the smallest Bilby.
