Hello there my name is Tyler Cuevas and this is going to be a project on the six biomes.

DESERT

  • The desert is a very dry climate
  • It normally gets less than 10 inches of rain per year
  • Rattlesnakes, jack rabbits and camels live there
  • They're located in Africa, Australia, Middle East and Russia
  • It's usually can get up to 135 degrees in one day

Rainforest

  • Located In Brazil, West Africa, and Southeast Asia
  • Animals that live there are sloths, insects, parrots and birds live there
  • Gets about 100 inches of rain a year
  • The temperature is always 64 degrees or higher

TUNDRA

  • Tundras are located in Alaska, Northern Canada, and Antarctica
  • The main animals are polar bears, musk ox, orca whales and seals
  • They are normally at 10-12 degrees Fahrenheit
  • A tundra gets about 6-10 inches of rain a year but are primarily ice

GRASSLAND

  • A grassland normally receives 25-75 centimeters of rain a year
  • Some of the animals that live there are African elephants, giraffes, and zebras
  • Grasslands are located at Africa, North America, and South America
  • It's normally as hot as 100° but get as cold as -40° Fahrenheit

DECIDUOUS FOREST

  • Gets about 30-60 inches of rain a year
  • Some animals are bears, raccoons, skunks, and deer
  • The average temperature is 50° Fahrenheit
  • They are located in Canada, Europe, Russia, and China

BOREAL FOREST

  • A boreal forest can get as hot as 5° and get as low as -5°
  • Some animals that live there are wolves, bears, tigers, and deer
  • Located in Canada, Russia, and North America
  • Gets about 12-33 inches of rain a year
