PRESENTATION OUTLINE

I is for ignorance
People in America ignore everything going around them. They ignore world hunger, war, history, and anything that might make them upset or sad.

J is for jeopardizing.
While Montag and Faber take action to there plans to make the world informed about books, they jeopardize there homes, loved ones, and even there own life's.

K is for kerosene.
Kerosene is a thin oil used to ignite fire. In Fahrenheit 451 it's what fireman use to burn houses down that contain books.

L is for languor.
Languor is a feeling of depression or the feeling of weakness in the mind. In Fahrenheit 451 Montags wife Mildred is upset with her relationship between herself and montag. She copes with it by taking sleeping pills so she will not be depressed. Putting herself in a state of languor.

M is for machination.
Faber and Montag come up with a machination (a scheme, a plot, or plan) to get the world aligned to the way it should be. Allowing people to freely express themselves However they'd like.

N is for narcotics.
Narcotics are a type of drug that relives pain and helps you sleep..kind of like the type of drugs that Mildred was obsessed with taking to numb her depression.

O is for obsolete .
The typical American day in
Fahrenheit 451 is without books. They become a disgrace or oblivion in the crowd of tv's that everyone is obsessed with.

Q is for Questions.
After Montag has met Clarisse and Faber he questions the morals of the government and fireman and most of America. He wonders why a women would rather burn alive with her books than die without them. He wonders why his wife can't remember when and where and how they met. He wonders what is in books.
