• Denise and her 4 year old son are in a car crash
• Taylor McAden a firefighger, finds them and "rescues" them
• He has a rough past and it effects his relationships
• Taylor and Denise start to date and get serious
• They overcome many obstacles together

SETTING
This book took place in Edenton, North Carolina during the years 1999-2000.

• Taylor- genunily nice, rough past, volunteer firefighter
• Denise- single mother, struggles financially, moves to Edenton
• Kyle- Denise's four year old son, hearing disability, good kid
• Judy- Taylor's mother, helps Denise out, always worried
• Mitch & Melissa- Taylor's bestfriends, practically family to him

THEME
The theme of this story is not to take life for granted.
-Taylor took like for granted by being careless with his job and experiencing many near death situations.

PERSONAL CONNECTION
I personally connected to this book because some of the characters experienced the death of someone close to them, and so have I.

RATING AND RECOMMENDATION
-I give this book 5/5 stars and would recommend it to anyone who likes romantic and drama filled stories.
