My classmates interpretation was pretty good. He understood the general point, but will definitely need to read the article to understand completely.
Trump Travel Ban Tweet
Trump’s travel ban on 8 primarily Muslim countries has passed. Major success for the Trump administration.
Classmates Interpretation
“Trump is banning Muslims from traveling to the United States. The Tweet seems sarcastic in saying that it’s a great success for the Trump administration.”
My classmates interpretation was very far off. Trump is not banning Muslims from coming to America. Additionally, the Tweet is not sarcastic. The Trump administration is actually experiencing a success.
