LOCATION
The Andes Mountains are located in South America, running north to south along the western coast of the continent.
COUNTRIES INCLUDED
The mountain range is part of seven countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela .
THE CLIMATE AND VEGETATION
The Andes Mountains have 4 Climate Zones.
Tierra helade(frozen land) above 10000 feet.The livestock there are sheep and llamas.
Tierra fria(cold land) 6,000 to 10000 feet.Some crops are wheat ,apples ,potatoes and barley.Tiera templada(temperate land)3,000-6,000 feet
Crops:corn,cotton,coffee,citrus,fruits

The Andes were the home of one of the greatest civilization in the New World,the Inca Empire.
Most of the Andes are volcanic mountains
The Andes contains 3 main regions.The Northern,Central and Southern.

The Amazon River starts at the North West of South America and ends in North East to the Atlantic Ocean.

The Amazon River is located in South America. It runs through Guyana, Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Peru.
Climate and Vegetation
Warm and wet
The range of plants found in the Amazon rivers varies from inconspicuous flowering aquatics to floating rafts of grasses and climbing epiphytic vines. Examples of such grasses include aquatic Paspalum species and semiaquatic bamboos growing along the river banks.
FUN FACTS
There are over 3000 known species of fish that live in the Amazon River, with more constantly being discovered.
The Amazon River is also home to the piranha, a meat eating type of fish!.

The Amazon Rainforest is located in the upper section of Brazil.

THE CLIMATE AND VEGETATION
The Amazon rainforest climate is typically a tropical climate.The Amazon rainforest climate has not a dry season, as it rains almost the whole year.The Amazon is home to as many as 80,000 plant species from which more than 40,000 species play a critical role in regulating the global climate and sustaining the local water cycle.
FUN FACTS
About 20% of earth's oxygen is produced by the Amazon rainforest.
Drought greatly increases the incidence of fire in the Amazon rainforest, an ecosystem unaccustomed to burning.
