  • He wanted to take over the oil reserves
  • Saudi arabia and egypt called on the u.s to intervene

  • Egypt and other arab nations teamed up against iraq in
  • Operation " desert field"

  • November 29th: the United nations security council authorized
  • The use of force against iraq if they did not withdraw from Kuwait.
  • Hussein responded by ordering all of Kuwait's oil fields to be burned.

OUR SIDE IN THE WAR

  • We think that the U.S needed to intervene because...
  • 1. Were allies with Egypt and saudi Arabia.
  • 2. The war could have gotten alot more violent if we wouldent have stepped in.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

  • Saddam husseien is dead.
  • Iraq and kuwait could make peace.
