Ponyboy set the Wooden church on fire by throwing a cigarette and the church started to burn while they where at Dairy Queen

Johnny and Pomyboy ran inside the church and saved the kids that were inside but as Johnny was trying to get out a part of the roof fell on him and left him in critical condition
