Society and Class
The city is divided in to two parts, one being the West where the Socs are located, the Socs are considered the more intelligent and sophisticated residents. Than, there's the Greasers which are located at the economically struggling East side, the greasers are visualized as the hoodlums and unlettered pile of individuals

Love
The book "Outsiders" was presented to us as a book of gang rivalry's and drugs but we where given some unpredicted emotions from the main characters. One example of this affection from the characters was when "Sodapop" had fallen and wanted to marry a lady by the name of "Sandy" in spite of her being pregnant with another man's child. Continuing on, it's not just the "Greasers" that are beginning to feel the love, the "Socs" have begun to realize their mistakes well one of them so far has which was "Randy" who ended up wanting to flee from the continuous fights and injury's and he proved this when he had decided to not show up at the big rumble.

Loyalty
Loyalty is a important aspect for a gang to have, you can think of it as a thread that holds a spiders web together well this is how important loyalty is to "Ponyboy Curtis" who would defend anyone in his gang even the ones he likes the least and he shows this by defending his fellow gang members or fellow greasers . The "Socs" have really shown us their commitment to one another after "Bob" was killed by "Johnny" his friends have fled from the scene within a matter of seconds without even hesitating or looking back.

The Outsiders
According to Ponyboy, there are two kinds of people in the world: greasers and socs. A soc (short for "social") has money, can get away with just about anything, and has an attitude longer than a limousine. A greaser, on the other hand, always lives on the outside and needs to watch his back. By: Amrit Gill
