Hera is the wife of Zeus and also his sister. She was raised by the Titans Ocean and Tethys.

She is considered the supreme Goddess and the Goddess of marriage and childbirth. This means she takes special care of married women.

As Hera was worshipped throughout Greece many of the oldest and most important temples were dedicated to her. Her injustice to Zeus as a jealous shrew is a reflection of one of the most profound changes in human spirituality.
