WHY DO YOU NEED A NUCLEUS?

  • nucleus acts like the brain of the cell. It helps control eating, movement,and reproduction.
  • It tells the cells what to do and how to do it right.
  • Cells need nucleus when they divide or they wont know how to operate

How does a nucleus work?

The function of the nucleus is to maintain the integrity of the genes and to control the activities of the cell by regulating gene expression

WHAT DOES A NUCLEUS LOOK LIKE

The nucleus is elliptical or round. The nucleus is covered with a double layered membrane and a clear fluid that is enclosed in the membrane. The nucleus also contains a network of fine thread-like material that is called chromatin network.

WHERE CAN YOU FIND THE NUCLEUS

  • In the eurkaryotic cells store
  • Most cells store have a nucleus except prokaryotic stores
