What was the lost colony?
The lost colony was Roanoke. They were a group of people trying to establish a colony in North Carolina.

When was the colony established? The colony was established in 1583. John White returned in 1590 to find nothing. In 1586 Sir Francis Drake arrived at Roanoke Island and brought home the settlers.

Why were the colonist in Roanoke? They were in Roanoke to establish a colony in the new world.

Who were the important figures? The important figures were, Algonquin, Sir Walter, Ralph Lane and John Lane.

  • Croantoan was the only thing left.
  • White arrived back in 1590

1.What happened to the colonists? The native Americans drove them out, they left on ship, they were never seen again.

2.What happened to the colonists? Spanish explores came from Florida and killed them.

3. What happened to the colonist? The colonist moved further in and married into Native American tribes.
