THE LEGEND

  • The legend of Arachne is set in Lydia, a part of northern ancient Greece.
  • In ancient greece, these types of myths, involving greek gods, were spoken and were oral traditions.
  • In ancient Greece, the Greeks didn't have science like we do today, and believed in magic, and the Gods.

THE GODDESS ATHENA

  • Athena is one of the daughters of the great god Zeus.
  • Athena is also the Goddess of weaving
  • Athena, (And all other gods,) was very proud, and did not like to be challenged.
  • Lives in olympus, which in greek Mythology is the top of Mount Olympus.

ARACHNE

  • Has the fatal flaw of Hubris, which is extreme pride or self-confidence.
  • Is exceptionally talented at weaving, which ATHENA is the goddess of.
  • Arachne is a female mortal who lives in Lydia, Northern Greece.
